"THE WOOD TALKS TO ME"I started turning wood at age eleven. I bought my first lathe at age twelve for fifteen dollars. Practiced on my own for eight years then apprenticed with world master turner Russ Zimmerman. This changed my life and pointed my art work into a whole new direction.
I started displaying and selling at craft shows. I used burl wood as my main canvas. As I became more and more popular, I was up to fifty two shows per year, selling retail and wholesale in both the USA and abroad.
Eventually I began turning large pieces, approximately 4 ft. tall and 3 ft. wide. I was making my own lathe and tools.
In 1990, I moved to the Fiji Islands where I created a whole new industry of burl furniture and tables and stained glass.
Today I am still turning vases, bowls and centerpieces. You can find me at your local Art festivals in South Florida.
Every piece is signed and dated and are one of a kind.
